40 miles north of Paris is the CHANTILLY CASTLE. It is one of the jewels of the French heritage. It is also the work of a man of exceptional destiny: Henry of Orleans, Duke of Aumale, son of the last king of the French, Louis-Philippe. This prince, considered the greatest collector of his time, made Chantilly the jewel of his innumerable masterpieces and precious manuscripts. You can visit the second largest collection of old paintings after the Louvre. The visit of Chantilly can be combined with a visit to the Palais de Compiègne, a magnificent royal and imperial castle. We will stop for lunch at the city of SENLIS with its charming medieval center and impressive cathedral.
